- May I just sit with my friend that has a ticket at the hands-on workshop?
Unfortunately, we cannot allow doubling or pairing because of fire codes and other contracts.
- If I am not pre-registered and I am not coming until Wednesday, where do I go?
You will have to come to the Convention Complex and register at McRae’s booth on Wednesday morning before you can attend any sessions. You must be registered for the conference to attend any hands-on workshops Wednesday-Friday.
- How do I change tickets or see what is available?
Go to McRae’s Hands-on Workshop booth in the Registration area of the Convention Complex and check the workshop board..
- Will there be food at the Convention Complex?
Food vendors will be open in the rear of the Exhibit Hall, in the registration area during lunch time, and across the Skywalk in front of Casey’s Sports Bar and Grill on Wednesday-Thursday.
- Where are the concurrent sessions held?
East Hall and North Hall in the Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex and the Medical Forum/Auditorium
- Where are the hands-on workshops being held?
Medical Forum Meeting Rooms and Birmingham Ballroom meeting rooms.
- The presenter ran out of handouts in the meeting I was just in, where do I get one?
If the presenter gives us their handouts on disk or email, we will post them on the AETC Web site in a couple of weeks at http://ti.alsde.edu/aetc.
- Refunds?
Call McRae at 866-678-2382. Deadline for refunds is May 17. There is a $10 fee for cancellations. No refunds will be given after this time.
- Can I go into just one session without a badge?
No, you must be registered.
- Can I go into Exhibit Hall without registration?
Yes, there is a $15 fee for an Exhibits Only pass.
- Can I go in with my husband/wife, etc.?
No, you must also be registered.
- Can I take my child in with me?
AETC is a professional development opportunity for educators. No one under the age of 18 will be allowed to attend the conference sessions or enter the Exhibit Hall. Please be respectful of your fellow participants, as well as the presenters and make other arrangements for your children and pets.
- Is there a copier available?
Not in the Convention Complex but in the Sheraton at your own expense.
- How much are the hands-on workshops?
$10 each for BYOL workshop, $20 each for 3-hour workshop, $40 each for 6-hour workshop with regular registration.
- Can I register just to attend one day?
Yes, one-day registration is $45 on-site.
- Will free parking be available to participants?
Yes, parking will be available on Wednesday June 9 and Thursday June 10 in the lot at the corner of 22nd Street and Richard Arrington Boulevard. There will be a sign at the entrance to the lot, but no attendant will be on duty.. |
