The Alabama Department of Education invites you to share your educational
technology expertise and experience during the 2012 Alabama Educational
Technology Conference (AETC). Presentations representing all levels of
education and content areas are welcome. Business and industry experts
are also encouraged to participate. Educators may wish to present with
fellow educators. Vendors may wish to co-present with a practitioner who
effectively uses their product(s). Complimentary conference registration
is provided to the main presenter and one co-presenter. Vendors must be
conference exhibitors. If you are selected, you will receive an
acceptance letter along with your registration waiver link and additional
information. Although registration fees are waived, all presenters and
co-presenters must register for AETC.
Concurrent sessions are one hour in length. Presenters may be asked to
repeat a session. Requests for special scheduling considerations must be
submitted in writing with the application form. Otherwise, you should be
prepared to present on the date(s) and time(s) you are assigned. Each presenter is
responsible for providing handouts at his/her session and should be
prepared with a minimum of 35 copies per session. You will be notified if your
session room seats more than 35. We encourage you to submit your
handouts in digital format for posting on the AETC website. Applications
to Present are reviewed by the conference committee.
AETC session rooms are classroom style with a video data projector, screen, a Windows-compatible computer,
document camera, and a table
for each session. The PC operating system will be Windows XP or above and
the Macintosh operating system will be MAC OS v.10.x or above, with Microsoft
Office and Microsoft Internet Explorer web browser. An Internet connection
is also
provided. Presenter will provide any additional equipment. |
